Experience:
Company : ASTRAL GLASS
PVT. LTD.
Duration : 1st
July to 30th Dec. 2005
Designation :
Graduate Maintenance Engineer.
Projects undertaken:
Post-Graduation Project:
Title : Design and costing of Solar Thermal
Desalination Plant of capacity
100 m3/day using Multi-effect Distillation method.
Company
: Thermax Ltd. Pune.
Synopsis : Seawater desalination is one of the
most promising fields for the application of solar
thermal energy due to the coincidence in many places of
world’s water scarcity, seawater available and good
solar radiation. The feasibility of solar seawater
desalination using Parabolic Trough Concentrating Solar
Collectors coupled with Multi-effect desalination
plants. In this thermal design of Shell and Tube heat
exchanger with horizontal tube arrangement used seawater
on shell side and 100 m3/day capacity of
fresh water is produced with backward feeding.
Seminar:
Thermal contact resistance (TCR)
– An application in manufacturing processes.
In this TCR and its cause’s
discuses, also the parameters thermal rectification, accurate
estimation of contact area correlation for gap conductance,
effective micro hardness of coated area etc which are connected
with heat transfer discussed. Statistical mechanism is used to
predict the TCR with application of Botlzman statistical model.
Overview of solar
distillation technologies.
In this different type of methods
to produce drinking water from seawater like MSF, MED, RO,
Membranes, Elecrodilysis methods are discuses with description,
economical, manufacturing.
2. Graduation Project:
Title : Instant
Solar Water Heater.
Synopsis: This is based on syphonic principle; we have
used Al-sheet as a reflector and Cu-pot, as a collector,
beam indicator, jack to adjust perpendicularity of
sunrays. It heats water up to 60-70 0C from
water at room temperature within 20-30 min.
Seminar: Scenario
of Drop Tank.
Drop tank is usually used for
fighter aircrafts for supplying additional fuel at the time of
long flight hours. After the aircraft has been refuelled by the
drop tank, the drop tank is discarded by dropping it, thus
reducing the weight of the aircraft. It’s mainly used during
warfare & emergency.
